Games and Silverlight

Our sister group in Popfly just released thier game engine to create mashups using the easy to use Popfly toolset. You can build all kinds of interesting mashups quickly and publish them to your favorite social network. What's intersting about this is I created a game in about 1 min using thier default templates and it's all in Silverlight.

I embedded it here:

Let me know what you think about Popfly..

Popfly is still too limited and buggy to be considered a serious tool for making games. It maybe fun for kids, but full Silverlight 2 is too good not use as a game making tool.

Check out this game I made without a lot of effort using Farseer Physics engine.

Nice work danny and thanks for the pointer! It reminds me of a cross between Asteroids and Tempest(from the graphics side). :)

Again I think because of the integration work we are doing with Silverlight and the CLR, you will see really rich add ons that can be hosted within Silverlight. Your integration of the physics engine is one example. I would expect to see 3D and some other rich add-ons (now, and in the future)since we released the SL2b2 bits.
